This week, the Friends of Hungary Foundation, publisher of Hungary Today, will host its second annual conference entitled “Hungary At First ‘Site’.” The organization, which aims to serve as a bridge connecting Hungarians from around the world, invited a group of foreign journalists to Budapest in order to give them an opportunity to experience Hungarian politics, economics and culture first hand.

On Monday, Hungary’s August 20 National Holiday, President János Áder awarded demographer Dr. Paul Demény with the prestigious honor of the Hungarian Order of St. Stephen. Dr. Paul Demény is a Hungarian demographer and economist whose research on population decline and demographic policy have been extremely influential internationally. Hungarians From Around the World Gather for the 5th Friends of Hungary Conference in Budapest
