Leaders of the Friends of Hungary Foundation Received State Awards

On the occasion of the national holiday of March 15, Dr. István Stumpf, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Friends of Hungary Foundation, Balázs Gulyás, Founder, E. Szilveszter Vizi, Founder and Board of Trustees Member, and Katalin Bényei, Executive Director of our Foundation, received state awards
In the field of political science, his outstanding research work on state order and constitutional state analysis, as well as his rich and significant publication activity, as well as his educational and public role in the results and achievements, was awarded the State Prize in the field of political science. István Stumpf, a constitutional lawyer, political scientist, former constitutional judge and chancellor, and university professor, was awarded the Széchenyi Prize by the President of the Republic.
In recognition of his internationally influential research, especially his outstanding results in neurological and psychiatric diseases and the understanding of human capabilities, as well as his versatile and committed scientific public work serving the development of Hungarian scientific life, Balázs Gulyás is a physician, neurobiologist, external member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, president of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network, was awarded the Széchenyi Prize.
The Hungarian Intellectual Property Office awarded the Jedlik Ányos Prize to prof. dr. Vizi E. Szilveszter, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Richter Gedeon Plc., for his outstanding inventive and industrial property protection activities. A defining figure in Hungarian scientific and pharmaceutical innovation, Vizi E. Szilveszter won the Jedlik Ányos Prize on March 14th of this year for his outstanding work in the field of Hungarian science and industrial property protection. The prize is awarded by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIO) to those who have significantly contributed to the development of the Hungarian innovation ecosystem.
Katalin Bényei, managing director of the Friends of Hungary Foundation, was awarded the Hungarian Silver Cross of Merit in recognition of his work enhancing the good reputation of Hungary and the Hungarian people, and his role in strengthening the relationship between Hungarians living at home, abroad and in the diaspora.
