We are happy to share the news with the Friends of Hungary Foundation community that our organization's member, Dr. Washington León Bon, was awarded the "KNIGHT'S CROSS OF THE HUNGARIAN ORDER OF MERIT" by the President of the Republic, Mr. Tamás Sulyok.

The awards of the Hungarian Order of Merit are awarded by the President of the Republic of Hungary for exceptionally high-quality professional work, exemplary activity and extraordinary performance or outstanding results.

The award was presented at the Hungarian Embassy in Santiago on October 19, 2024, where in a ceremonial setting, in front of Hungarian compatriots, Ambassador Edit Bucsi-Szabó presented the Knight's Cross and the accompanying certificate to Dr. Washington León Bon.
