The album " Decretum of Our Hungarianness - 800 Years of the Golden Bull 1222-2022" is available!

Over the centuries, there have been many laws and documents bearing the royal seal. Yet the most influential in Hungarian history is the Golden Bull, issued by King Andrew II with a gold pendant seal and published at the Diet of Székesfehérvár in 1222.

The Friends of Hungary Foundation commemorates the document as the Decretum of Our Hungarianness on the occasion of its 800th anniversary. In addition to the history of its origin, its contents and the various Hungarian translations of the Latin original, our volume aims to present the historical milestones of the renewal of the Golden Bull and its significance, which extends to the present day.

Published last year by the Friends of Hungary Foundation, the English-Hungarian album " Decretum of Our Hungarianness - 800 Years of the Golden Bull" is available online here.
