Zoltán Ács: A járatlan úton

We are pleased to share the news that the biographical volume of Zoltán Ács, a member of the Friends of Hungary Foundation, has been published, about which he writes:
“I set out on the untrodden path, and at every fork in the road over the past seven decades, I have chosen the path less trodden. In this book, I tell you who I met on my journey and how I formed my circle of fellow travelers. I believe my story can be just as interesting to my contemporaries and Hungarians raised in emigration as it is to those young people who have just begun to walk their own path.”
ZOLTÁN ÁCS, economist, was born in 1947 in a refugee camp in Austria. He emigrated to the United States with his family in 1952.
After graduating from Cleveland State University, he moved to New York City, where he earned a PhD in economics from the New School for Social Research. He has taught at the London School of Economics and George Mason University, among others. He has been a visiting professor at Imperial College Business School in London and the University of Pécs. As an internationally recognized expert, he has received numerous honors. In 2023, he was awarded the Arany János Medal of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences for his outstanding achievements in economics.
