Hungarian Officer´s Cross Order of Merit to Alfred Pasternak

Alfred Pasternak, Founding Member of the Friends of Hungary Foundation, received the Hungarian Officer´s Cross Order of Merit

Alfred Pasternak is member of the Founders of Friends of Hungary Foundation. Obstetrician and gynecologist, external member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He immigrated to the USA in 1956. Prof. Paszternák is a child survivor of Auschwitz, author of the world-renowned book of Inhuman Research: Medical Experiments in German Concentration Camps. He is clinical professor at the School of Medicine of the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). He has received awards from the Congress of the USA (twice), State of California and City of Los Angeles. He has been awarded the ‘Flame of Truth Award’ from Israel for the professional support he provided to higher education. He is honorary member of the Hungarian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the owner of the Semmelweis Medal, and honorary doctor of the Haynal Imre University of Health Sciences.
